Collaborative Solutions Maryland
CSM is a Maryland nonprofit 501(c)3 membership corporation formed in 2013 to provide access to leading edge network services and support activities.
CSM was created by USM to encourage and promote IT resource sharing for the benefit of educational members. CSM works with other established membership organizations such as Maryland Research and Education Network (MDREN), and Maryland Education Enterprise Consortium (MEEC) to provide access to services that otherwise would not be affordable. It also provides a means for member institutions to share resources in a group cost recovery structure.

KINBER
The Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education and Research (KINBER) is a membership organization devoted to fostering collaboration through technology for education, research, healthcare, libraries, public media, workforce development, government and economic development. KINBER offers connectivity, technology infrastructure solutions and training and professional development opportunities tailored to support the needs of our members, ranging from libraries and health systems to large university settings.
KINBER built and manages the 1,800-mile Pennsylvania Research and Education Network, known as PennREN, which provides advanced data networking to non-profit organizations and fosters collaboration between Pennsylvania-based organizations for value-added services such as Internet2 connectivity, realistic high-definition video, real-time videoconferencing, and data sharing. PennREN access points are now in 51 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties with initial connections in more than 70 locations over the 1,800-mile network.
The collaborative environment also provides opportunities for member institutions to share best practices, content and programs.

The VALE Consortium was developed in 1998 as a grass root organization to develop inter-institutional information connectivity and collaborative library application projects among New Jersey academic libraries. VALE’s mission is to help institutions meet the demands of students and faculty for access to scholarly materials.
VALE is a grassroots organization with the goal of developing inter-institutional information connectivity and collaborative library application projects among New Jersey’s academic libraries. VALE’s objective is to help institutions meet the demands of students and faculty for access to scholarly materials. Through cooperation and leveraged purchasing, and through the use of collaboration and cutting edge technology, VALE seeks to provide a seamless network of access to shared electronic academic information resources throughout New Jersey. The New Jersey State Library and the New Jersey Library Association offer enthusiastic and continuing support. The VALE Consortium provides an extraordinary level of information access to academic resources in the state.
